The Difference

As I toiled, yet again, through the weekend I finally realized the difference between writing television commercials and a novel.

With a television commercial you only need short burst of greatness—client information needs to go somewhere and a commercial is only 30 seconds long.

With a novel you need a solid, impeccable foundation and countless burst of greatness—agents and publishers will look elsewhere if you provide them anything less.
