Figured out a New Feature…

I just figured out my new blog style supports polls. Thought I’d give a really simple one a try.

Please vote and leave a comment so I can learn this program. Also, be sure to suggest poll ideas!

  1. The poll allows one answer so I chose non-fiction because that’s where I’m published… in magazines and newspaper. My novels are my current focus, however, with occasional articles providing a little income on the side. 🙂

  2. Hi. 🙂 Just thought I’d come introduce myself. You came over and entered our contest. Thanks! Oh, btw, I’m Callie from Chimera Critiques. Nice blog you have here–I checked out the part of your novel you have up. It sounds really good. If you’re ever interested in a free critique of the first chapter, make sure to submit. we take a couple submissions every month–along with what we do from the contests. Anyway, it was nice to “meet” you. Hope to see you over at the site again! I’m sure I’ll be back here as well. 🙂

  3. Ramblings,
I love fiction because I can let my mind go free and let the words take me where they want to go.

Novels, as in more than one? Wow! Also, did the poll kick you off when you tried to vote for both? Just wondering for future polls.

I stumbled across that site through a link while I was wandering around the internet and thought I’d enter for fun.

Thanks for commenting and checking out my site. I’m hoping to be the winner so I can get that all-important critique 🙂

If any other readers want to enter the Callie’s “Name the Mascot” contest, or sign up for a critique you can visit her site at
(The above link takes you right to the contest page)

    • Christi, if you submit a vote more than once, when the results come up they are accompanied by the message, “Thank you, we have already counted your vote,” which is what happens pretty well anywhere online that allows voting. Unless it’s a poll that’s been set up to allow multiple choices, the computer’s I.D. is recorded along with the single vote.

  4. Like I said, even if you don’t win–feel free to submit. We always pick at least two submissions a month–sometimes more. For some reason, during a contest, people never submit as much. I think everyone’s just waiting to see if they win. But, now is a good downtime to submit if you are interested. 🙂

  5. Wow, I go away on vacation and come back and your blog looks all different! Congrats on the new design, it looks great. I write both fiction and non-fiction but I voted fiction because it is my love and passion.
