Saddle Up!

My summer has been filled with lots of distractions, each one pulling me away from my writing. My child’s surgery, house invasions, road trips, and many more things all got in the way of writing.

But now I have a great critique partner who so far has been great about keeping me on task and track to make my deadlines.

So, without further ado, I leave you with Gene Autry’s song Back in the Saddle Again.

Happy Monday!

  1. Gene goes back a long way into the annals of my family history … as well as my son’s experiences in a horse ranch camp …

What a perfect way to celebrate getting your muse in shape. Having a good CP or Beta reader is better than a big bowl of whatever carbs you desire … it’s better than a dance in the rain !!

Great and good writing to you … yippee ka hey ka oh !

  2. Florence,

I have to admit, the first time I ever heard this song was during the movie Sleepless in Seattle.

Ever since, I always think of it when I get back to doing something I haven’t done in a while (during the movie, they play it while he asks a woman out over the phone–his first time doing so since his wife died)

Love your latest post over at your blog. The first kiss is always memorable!
