Help a Twitter Newbie…Please?!

I am on Twitter.

I don’t know how to use it properly.

I’ve mastered the idea of following people, setting up my profile, and other basics, but for the life of me I can’t figure out how to “retweet” or what those “#” marks are for.

Help a girl out. Please?

  1. Hi, Christi! Twitter takes some getting used to, but now that I have, I love it. Lots of fantastic info on their everyday if you’re following the right tweeps.

You can pretty much google anything you wanna know about Twitter. I suggest following Twittonary. It’s the Twitter dictionary.

Also, here’s a link you may find helpful re: the # :

BTW I love Blogger. It’s so much easier to use. WordPress has it’s benefits–seems to have more functionalities in t he long run–but Blogger rocks for pure ease. 🙂

  2. PK,
Thanks so much for the link. Looks very helpful! I’ll dive in tonight and figure this out. I just retweeted something the other day :).

  3. EJ,
I’ve mastered the basics fairly easily, now I’m just trying to get a handle on the rest of it. I HIGHLY recommend starting an account as soon as possible, the information and contacts you’ll find is a gold mine.

My post today so I can figure out all the other stuff like what is @ and # for (still figuring those out, but thanks to the link from PK I’m guessing I’ll get it quick)

Your group on Writer’s Digest is amazing EJ, thanks again for starting it!

    Christi
