Writing Quote Friday

Today’s quotes comes from Stephen King…

No, it’s not a very good story – its author was too busy listening to other voices to listen as closely as he should have to the one coming from inside.

When asked, “How do you write?” I invariably answer, “one word at a time.”

*I’m getting low on quotes. Send me your favorite writing quote and I’ll post it along with a link back to your site/blog.

  1. Christi, first of all, his book is one of the best I’ve read and worth the price, most surely, worth the time.

Second, I haven’t any new quotes. If I come across anything, I’ll send it your way.

Have a happy and healthy New Year. Good things are coming 🙂

  2. Florence,

My birthday is coming up in a month…I’m thinking I know what I’m asking for 🙂

Also, because of vacation, I still haven’t ran that one you suggested a few weeks ago. I have it ready and scheduled for next Friday though.

    Christi

  3. Nice quotes! 🙂
Hmm … The only one I can think of at the moment would be by Douglas Adams, author of The Hitch Hiker’s Guide to the Galaxy (quoted in Neil Gaiman’s book Don’t Panic about Adams),
“If I’d wanted to write a message I’d have written a message. I wrote a book.”
