Writing Quote Friday

Today’s writing quote comes from Sylvia Plath…

And by the way, everything in life is writable about if you have the outgoing guts to do it, and the imagination to improvise.  The worst enemy to creativity is self-doubt.

  1. Ramblings,

I haven’t read Bell Jar, but with such a great recommendation I can see I’ll have to change that 🙂

    Thanks for commenting.

    Have a great weekend!

  2. M,

I really liked this one from the moment I found it. Glad you enjoyed it too.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting.

  3. The last sentence of that quote is one I have in my notebook, but I didn’t know its source, so thank you! One bit of advice I like is from Ernest Hemingway:
“I learned never to empty the well of my writing, but always to stop when there was still something there in the deep part of the well, and let it refill at night from the springs that fed it.”

  4. Carol,

I really like that Hemingway quote…so much that I’m going to use it for next Friday’s quote (and I’ll thank you and provide a link back to your awesome blog too)

I really like the pictures on your blog lately. Makes me wish for the days when we lived where we got snow. But, now I get to live through you…without the snow shovel 🙂

    • Hemingway said a lot of things that strike a note with me.

Glad you are enjoying my pics. Most end up being taken through the car windshield so lack ideal composition, clarity, etc., but there’s so much to see in life I’m always trying to capture it. The snow is pretty but not everyone appreciates it. Right now the highways are treacherous and have many closures due to avalanches.

  5. Jennifer,

Thanks for visiting my blog and commenting. I’m glad you liked the quote and hope to see you here again.

  6. Carol,

Taking pictures through the car window/door is the way most of our vacation pictures are composed too. When we go on a trip, we don’t stop much 🙂

Your quote you suggested is next Friday’s quote 🙂

    • I just re-read that sentence to you and must say it’s the most weirdly phrased one I’ve written in a very long time…must proofread myself 🙂
