Writing Quote Friday…MONDAY EDITION

We had a really long weekend of organizing the garage…and I’m all out of blog ideas so here’s a few quotes instead 😀

Today’s writing quotes are from Dr. Seuss…

You can get help from teachers, but you are going to have to learn a lot by yourself, sitting alone in a room.

Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind.

  1. M. and Laura,

Thanks for stopping by. I’m glad you enjoyed the special edition of Quote Friday. I sat down late last night and found myself too exhausted to even begin typing anything that resembled an interesting read. We spent two straight days pulling stuff out of our garage, unpacking boxes, and sorting everything. Some serious heavy lifting (and no writing) got done!

    Thanks again!

  2. Christi – want to come over here and help me organize my basement? It’s like wringing blood from a stone trying to get my husband to help.

I like that first quote a lot. My 20-month daughter calls every Dr. Seuss book we have “Hop Pop! Hop Pop!” for Hop on Pop.

  3. Meghan,

    Here’s the super secro trick.

Call him sometime when you are in the house and he is out. Steer the conversation to get him to ask you what you’re doing, then answer, “Oh, just going through some of your stuff I didn’t think you needed anymore. I’ve got about three boxes already. Don’t worry, you won’t miss anything.”

He’ll freak out and insist on going through stuff with you. Or, just do the above without telling him–the key is to donate his stuff to Goodwill before he sees 😀

    Christi
