School Again, and a Book Drive

Last week, the Corbett kids were on spring break.

So, aside from building couch forts, playing Chutes and Ladders, and teaching my twins how to unload the dishwasher (yay me!), I got nothing done writing-wise.

But today, they went back! Here’s a video to explain my joy…

Alas, now I have so much to catch up on (hello to my critique partners, I’m talking to you :). Don’t worry, your chapters are coming soon!) I don’t have time for a blog post today.

Instead, I send you over to Margo Kelly’s blog, where sheΒ is hosting a fantastic book drive for a high school library in Nampa, Idaho that is in desperate need of books.

    • Subtle,

I cheated a bit and posted this blog post long before Tuesday :). I write and schedule my posts in big chunks so I can cruise through my day. Usually I check the comments, and reply to them, right as they come in, but this time I made myself stay away so I could write πŸ™‚

      Thanks for visiting,

      Christi

  1. Christi, while I can relate and remember … I can also feel happy that these Mommy moments are now for others. I am so over all of that and delighted to be in another place. Okay, so I’ll go to another place and check out Margo πŸ™‚

    • Florence,

I’m with you on some Mommy moments…specifically the hard ones during the first year. Wow did I not get any sleep! Don’t miss those days. And, I get the fun of having a baby around because my friend just had a baby and I get to spoil it, then hand it back when it’s thrown up or needs new pants πŸ™‚

      Thanks for stopping by,

      Christi

  2. I am happy you and the kids enjoyed the spring break. Now that it’s over, remember Jake, Kate & Ben are in Wyoming in July. It’s really hot there then. I hope you got them to the Little Blue River “before” you took Spring Break.

Now you have had a well deserved rest, so on to Fort Laramie. They have a tavern there that has Tequila.

  3. P,

I’m looking to “rescue” them from the hot weather and send them into the dangerously cold, and icy, mountain passes now that Spring Break is over.

Join me for a shot, won’t you?

    Christi
